Mecanum’s ultrasonic tortuosity meter (or ultrasonic refractometer) is designed to obtain measurements of the tortuosity and characteristic parameter of a wide range of porous materials commonly used in noise monitoring. The system uses transmission and reflection methods: transmission method is suitable for materials with low resistivity, while reflection method is more suitable for more resistive materials (requires porosity as an input parameter).

Available in 1 gas or 2 gas (slightly different measured properties).
