Grant of $ 481,823
Mecanum Inc. is proud to announce a $ 481,823 research grant from the Department of Economics, Science and Innovation (MESI) under the Research Support Program, component: Support for International Research and Innovation Initiatives (PSR-SIIRI). The goal is to increase the acoustic insulation of plane fuselage.
This project aims the development and validation of a new acoustic insulation technology for aerospace applications based on the Acoustic Insulation Metamaterials (AIMM) concept. This technology will be integrated into the design of current thermoacoustic insulations and will be adjustable in relation to tonal and broadband noise to be attenuated.
This grant supports our collaborative initiative with other Canadian and German partners. In particular, it will fund internal and external research by our Canadian university partners (Université de Sherbrooke and École de technologie supérieure).
