Airflow resistance meter
Mecanum’s airflow resistance meter measures the static airflow resistivity, resistance, specific resistance, and permeability of open-cell porous materials used for noise control. It is one of the only systems on the market to measure directly from flow velocities as low as 0.5 mm/s. Airflow resistivity is a key input to every model of sound absorption, which makes this system equally suited to end-of-line quality control, supplier validation, and the development of new acoustic materials. It follows ASTM C522 and ISO 9053-1.

Circular knife
The circular knife lets you cut clean, repeatable sample geometries from porous materials, so each specimen fits the tube precisely and edge effects stay minimal. Consistent sample preparation is one of the simplest ways to improve measurement repeatability.
Material slicer
The material slicer holds a porous sample firmly in place while you cut it to thickness, giving you flat, parallel faces and a controlled height. It removes much of the guesswork from preparing soft or compressible materials that are otherwise hard to slice evenly.
Enclosure
The enclosure protects the airflow resistance meter from dust, drafts, and harsh surroundings, keeping measurements stable in demanding production or field environments. It is a practical safeguard when the meter runs at the end of a line rather than in a controlled lab.
Compressor
The compressor supplies the controlled airflow the meter needs, matched to its measurement range so you get a stable, reliable source without sizing or adapting a unit yourself. It is configured to work directly with the resistivity meter system out of the box.
