Why choose Mecanum’s Porosity and Density Meter?

Directly implemented from the scientific litterature

This Porosity and Density Meter is based on a published scientific method, the isothermal pressure/mass method, which measures the mass of a sample subjected to different pressure levels. By using the ideal gas law, the volume of the solid phase is retrieved then allows the deduction of the bulk density and the open porosity of the materials. Different gases can be used, typically air or argon. The greater the apparent volume of the sample and the density of the gas used, the greater the accuracy of the method will increase.

Made for quality control in production and suppliers control

Mecanum’s Porosity and Density Meter can be integrated at the end of the production line to test product quality and consistency. The measurement procedure is simple and the software guides the operator to ensure a reliable response, without the need for long and costly training.

This system also allows you to quickly and reliably check the quality of your suppliers’ products. Open and true bulk density are key parameters governing the acoustic effectiveness of absorbing materials. Testing those parameters at the end of the production line ensures both the acoustic effectiveness of the material and the quality of the production line.
